Has the Tea party "Hijacked" the Republican party?

The elections in November definitely showed the power of the new conservative movement. The Tea party has not only effectively put a stop to the Obama/Pelosi agenda. They have also shown the traditional big spending Republicans that their is a new sheriff in town. Do you think this is good or bad for the Republican party and our country in general?
